Presented at ESACT 2026, this study from our Munich process development team compares rAAV9 production across three bioreactor platforms, orbital shaking, rocking, and stirred-tank, at 10 L scale using our proprietary EpyQ® split 2 plasmid system and HEK293 cell line. Vector yield, capsid quality, impurity profiles, and in vitro potency were evaluated head-to-head. The data confirm stirred-tank bioreactors as the preferred platform for robust, large-scale rAAV manufacturing, with rocking systems showing strong performance but limited scalability.
